APT Training at AgQuip Field Days 2025: Why Hydraulics Matter in Ag

We’re heading to Gunnedah this August for one of Australia’s biggest and best field days., AgQuip Field Days, running from Tuesday 19 to Thursday 21 August 2025.

AgQuip is the go-to event for anyone working in or around agriculture, machinery, and rural innovation. Held in Gunnedah, NSW, the event attracts thousands of industry professionals, suppliers, and equipment owners from across the country.

Shelly from the APT Training team will be on-site, walking the grounds, and having real conversations with people who work the land, run the gear, and manage the teams.

Why We’re There: Hydraulics Are the Backbone of Ag

For many operators, it’s surprising how much overlap there is in hydraulic systems across industries. Whether you’re shifting ore or oats, the fundamentals are the same—pressure, control, reliability.

But while agricultural machinery relies heavily on hydraulics, formal training in diagnostics, fault-finding, and preventative maintenance is still rare in the ag sector.

And that gap costs farmers:

  • Unplanned downtime during peak harvest or sowing
  • Inconsistent fertiliser or seed application
  • Early wear and tear from unresolved leaks or pressure issues
  • Safety risks in lifting or transport tasks

At APT, we’re not about greenwashing. We’re about real improvements. Smarter systems. Less fuel waste. Fewer breakdowns. That’s what we call Planet Plus thinking—and it comes from hands-on, hydraulic-specific training.

Want to Talk Hydraulics in Ag?

If you’re attending AgQuip and want to discuss:

  • Customised training for your ag equipment
  • How hydraulic knowledge reduces downtime
  • What it takes to upskill your crew for real-world diagnostics

…Shelly’s the one to talk to. We’re not hosting a stand this year, but we’ll be there to connect with individuals who are serious about skills, safety, and keeping machines running smoothly.

Let’s Talk Capability That Sticks

APT has trained over 7,000 students across mining, ag, and construction. We know how important it is to train on the tools, not just in theory. If you’re ready to get more from your gear and your team, let’s talk.
